Honda Canada Campus, Markham
In order to house growing sales, marketing and customer service operation teams, Honda Canada Inc. announced its plans in August 2007 to build a head office campus in Markham, Ontario. The subject site is approximately 47 acres and fronts on Highway 404, just north of Elgin Mills Road. The 450,000 sq. ft. corporate head office campus will house three separate but interconnected buildings, including a four-storey LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) green building for their head office, a technical training centre that accommodates research and development, engineering and training and a one-storey parts and distribution centre. G & L assisted in the site selection process by completing a land use feasibility study and is actively retained by Honda to coordinate Site Plan and Permit Application approvals. A tentative move-in date of Summer 2009 is targeted.
